Third day Visit to Parkat Bhagavathi and Chelakara

Visit to Parakatu Bhagavathi

30th July

On 30th it was the visit to Parakkatu Bhagavathi temple about 30 kms from Kalpathy at Allthur district. Again a early morning trip was programmed as kovils here open early . It was the family Kovil of ours. Over time the temple has increased in stature.
The day we went was relatively less crowded and we could have good Darshan of the Devi as well do all the desired `vazipadus.

After the temple visit we then went to Chelakara which is again the native village of `Pattapa. My father inlaw,V.Krishnan's father .

We first went to the Narashimaha Ksehtram ,
Chelakara Narashimha temple.
Lord Narashimhar - the deity of the temple. And then visited our relations there. First Sundaram and family with whom we are well acquainted. For all the temple activities as well Navarathri celebrations we used to send our `kanikai as well participate when ever possible.
Sudrams son took us to the `urukai factory,  selling popularly in the name of Komalam pickles . He asked to pick things of our choice and refused to take any money for the same  . Saras then visited Sundarams brother Ramus house who had also passed away last year. After Chelakara visit we had lunch at `Allthur and returned home.

In the evening we went to `Vadakantharai and `Kallekolangari Devi temple.

It was then time to pack up as we were catching the `Karaikal express at 1.30 pm to Tanjaore.
We were escorted to the station by our good friend Gopalan in the middle of the night. Telling goodbye to Balamani we then went to the second lap of our journey to Tanjavur and from there to Govindapuram.
